Server Maintenance
Thought Heartbleed was the name of that new boy band all the girls drool over? Guess again. I stay connected to a wide variety of newsletters, forums and websites to see what affects the web world. With this service, I keep your server's OS updated with all of the latest packages and make sure those updates don't affect your web presence in the process. If it does, I'll fix it while checking that everything is up to date and hunky dory, or copacetic if you like to use multi-syllable words. If I get word that another Labadoodle shitzu mix attack and there is a fix, it's taken care of as soon as I get word.
Need backups (besides your website and database)? You're covered too. I'll evaluate what should be backed up and how often. But wait, there's more! I'll also make sure it happens for no extra charge! No need to pay separate processing and handling charges. If I discover an issue with a backup, I'll handle it. I'll even give you one free restore a month if you should ever need it. Need to restore more often? I'll work with you on a as needed basis.
Don't have a place to stash those archive of cat pictures? I can offer several solutions to secure it from online to offline. This is an add on service and is determined by storage medium and size. You only pay for what you use.

What's Included
This is a prepaid monthly service. Your server becomes my server for as long as you wish. In the case of a disaster, I will restore the most recent data at no charge once per month. If you need data restored more often, I offer data restoration services on an individual basis.
Please note, this service is not possible on a shared hosting environment. You must have a VPS or dedicated server.
Predictable Schedule
I log in twice a week and make sure everything is up to date. If I get word of a hotfix that is outside my schedule, I'll still take care of you.
Compatibility
I'll make sure the updates don't blow off the barn doors. If they do, I'll roll it back. I can't guarantee that all software will play nice with each other but will try my best.
Backups
I'll make sure the backups are performed. Don't have a current backup schedule? I'll present a few choices. I also provide offline storage, this is handled on a per size and medium basis.
Maintain The Front Line
Have a firewall? I'll make sure it's operational and make adjustments when you add or remove services.
Simple Data Restoration
Accidents happen. I'll locate your missing data and restore it for you once per month if something should happen. Restorations can be simple or complex and I'll restore to what is reasonable. If it is very complex, I'll let you know and handle that on a per incident basis.
Security Monitoring
Let's face it, script kiddies have plenty of time on their hands. I'll keep an eye out for the unusual. While I'm at it, I'll make sure security related software is installed, up to date and doing it's job. No system is guaranteed to be 100% secure, but I'll make your server a hard enough target that they will look elsewhere for an easy pwn.

Software updates

A firewall is a very important part of security. I'll make sure there are no holes and add or adjust rules as your needs change.

Make those script kiddies look elsewhere for a server to pwn. We're not going down without a fight. Chances are they will give up and move on, what can I say, they lack dedication.
Include as little or as much as you need. If I see that you will be better served by my combined package, I'll let you know and get you switched over.
